Built in 1926, Somewhere in Time Cottage is a centrally-located Mackinaw City vacation rental that can sleep up to four guests and is within walking distance of everything downtown Mackinaw City offers.
Jennifer's dad Bud Dexel purchased this classic property in 1986 and aptly named it "Somewhere in Time." It is one of the three original houses left on the strip, and is located on a relatively quiet street on the edge of the historic downtown district of Mackinaw City.

The cottage was completely renovated in 2022 and features modern appliances, brand new mattresses, and comfortable furnishings that will make you feel right at home.
Somewhere in Time Cottage is within walking distance of dozens of local restaurants, breweries, bakeries, shops, and nearby attractions. If you're looking for a downtown adventure, we've got it all within a mile of the cottage.
The cottage has a private backyard where you can play games, enjoy a meal, and relax in the rocking chairs, wicker furniture, or our covered bridge, “wee wee Mack.”
There is a private driveway that services the cottage—so you never have to worry about finding a spot for your car.
Somewhere in Time Cottage comes with everything you need to relax during your stay. A fully-stocked kitchen, flatscreen TV, and two bedrooms, each with a private bathroom.

Fully-stocked
The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and tools you need to prepare a delicious meal during your stay. There is also a grill located in the backyard. Coffee and tea supplies are provided for you as well.
Spacious
Our charming living room features deep-wood furniture pieces, a TV and electric fireplace, beautiful Victorian-era lamps, and has plenty of seating to accommodate all of your family's needs.
Relax away
Our front porch is perfect for starting your morning with a cup of coffee or hot cocoa. Decorated in colors reminiscent of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
Our front bedroom is equipped with a full-size traditional log bed, a TV, a heating and cooling unit, and a ceiling fan. There is a private bathroom which features a tub/shower combo.
Our back bedroom has two twin beds, a heating and cooling unit, and a ceiling fan. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and has been completely remodeled.
